About
ASL Love is a Deaf-led collective of Deaf and Disabled artists and makers. We started to reclaim and celebrate music, movement, and art through our language, ASL — giving Deaf artists a space to share their work, and building community around it.
What we do
Since 2018 we've produced Halloween fundraisers, Deaf drag and improv nights, ASL open mics, family ASL days, and gallery residencies — and brought Camp ASL Love, our Deaf-led camp and access team, to festivals like Lucidity and Burning Man. We also help partners like Urban Jazz Dance Company, DCARA, and DeafHope make their events accessible and unforgettable. Browse theevent archive and our programs.
Access philosophy
We design Deaf-first: ASL-immersive events, interpreters, captions and transcripts, and clear sightlines for signing. Access notes for each event — wheelchair access, transit, masking — are stated up front, not buried.
Camp ASL Love
Camp ASL Love brings an ASL-first camp and access team to festivals, most recently Lucidity in 2023 and 2024, filling the space with our psychedelic blacklight ASL art. See the event archive.
